Hello! My name is James. I’m 20 years old, and I’m from a little village called New Barn in North-West Kent, England. New Barn has no pubs, no restaurants, and no shops… but we have three post boxes, which we’re very proud of. This summer I graduated from the University of Essex, based in Colchester, which not only has more than three post boxes, but shops, restaurants and pubs! I know… it’s all very overwhelming.  So now I have a degree in Politics!  Having said that, if you ask me anything about current political affairs the chances are that I won’t have a clue. I had an absolutely amazing three years and met some wonderful people.

I’m really not very interesting, so I’m afraid that all of my likes and dislikes will be terrible cliche that you’ve heard a million times before. I absolutely love music, but then again I don’t think I’ve met anyone who actually has an aversion to music. I certainly wouldn’t be able to be friends with them as I sing constantly (well not constantly, but you know what I mean) so that would be very annoying for them. I don’t really have a real favourite style of music, as I’ll give anything a listen really, although I must say that dance/techno/trance/rave/shit is not for me, and neither is country, or anything involving screaming as the main vocal style. Anyone can scream.

I used to blog fairly regularly on Myspace back in the day, and since that died out I’ve been itching to find somewhere I could ramble on about all kinds of crap. I’ve missed being able to come and write all my thoughts down, and have somewhere to rant or rave about things. I normally write things in the heat of the moment, so a lot of the things I write, especially if it is in the “rant” category, are rather exaggerated versions of what I actually think. Everything seems to be multiplied if I’m annoyed, so please excuse that.

My aim is to reply to every comment that you make on my posts. I’m not sure what the etiquette is with regards to that, but I will reply to comments underneath them, rather than on your blog, otherwise there will be completely unrelated comments on posts as replies that have no relevance to them, which I find a little stressful. I apologise if that isn’t the right thing to do, but that’s the way I’m going to operate. If you do the same then it makes no difference in the end  anyway, and we all have neater comments which are easier to follow. …Oh my God, I’m Monica.
